Her expertise spans the full spectrum of communications services including the provision of strategic advice to senior leaders, the development of communications plans and employee engagement strategies, end-to-end management of key channels including online and print mediums, and the production of large-scale corporate events.

Prior to Founding Commcentric, a Sydney-based communications consultancy, Linda held several senior communications roles in some of Australia’s leading institutions. At the Commonwealth Bank, Linda held senior roles with the focus of protecting and enhancing the Bank’s reputation. In her role as CEO Communications Advisor, Linda was accountable for the communication of the Bank’s Financial Results and CEO Awards announcements to all Commonwealth Bank employees. She was also responsible for the day-to-day management of key CEO Communications channels including the CEO’s monthly TV Program, CEO video announcements and the Chief Executive intranet site. Linda prepared CEO briefing documents for a variety of forums including the AGM, Board meetings, industry and client events, CEO Staff Forums, CEO Awards gala events and charity functions.

As Senior Communications Advisor at the Commonwealth Bank, Linda played a key role in developing the communications strategy to support the CEO’s goal for the Bank to reach Number one in customer satisfaction. This involved supporting the leadership team by executing best practice communications strategies, programs and tools to drive sales and service disciplines across the organisation.

At AMP Capital, Linda worked closely with the Institutional clients team and was responsible for the production of best practice investment tenders for Super Funds and Institutional investors. She managed AMP Capital’s relationship with Mercer Investment Consulting on quarterly consultant reports for over 60 products. Linda was later appointed as Internal Communications Manager where she played an active role in setting the strategic direction for the Internal Communications function and developed communications strategies which supported AMP Capital’s vision and objectives. Special projects included the development of a Knowledge Management strategy to facilitate the sharing of investment research and a communications strategy to help create an ‘international mindset’ among employees at a time when growth into Asia was a key focus for the business. Linda was also successful in negotiating a sponsorship with the CFA Society of Sydney and co-established AMP Capital’s partnership with the CREATE Foundation, raising $200,000 to support children in foster care. In 2009, Linda was awarded the AMP Foundation Volunteer of the Year Award by CEO Craig Dunn.

Linda attended the University of Technology, Sydney and graduated with a Master of Business in 2006 (Distinction average). The focus of Linda’s postgraduate thesis was on the interplay between staff engagement and internal communications. Linda also holds a Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment.
